A linguagem exige habilidades no uso e compreensão não-literal de expressões usadas na comunicação direta, útil na nomeação de sentimentos que ampliam o sentido da fala e podem introjetar preconceitos sociais.
Quando eu era criança e ouvia estas expressões, havia um conflito entre a tradução literal e as emoções que elas evocavam. Por não entender seu significado simbólico eu as usava indevidamente e por isso era castigada pelo meu pai. A partir de então, quando ouvia algo de compreensão duvidosa ou irônica, buscava explicações do seu significado antes de empregá-las.
Os trípticos, construídos na estética de campo expandido, apresentam autorretratos desta memória metafórica de expressões populares no Brasil, agora mostradas com uma poética visual do amadurecimento do ouvinte inocente para o leitor maduro.

WORDS ARE GLOVES THAT WEAR THOUGHTS
Language requires skills in the use and non-literal understanding of expressions used in direct communication, useful in naming feelings that expand the sense of speech and can introject social prejudices.
When I was a child and heard these expressions, there was a conflict between the literal translation and the emotions they evoked. For not understanding their symbolic meaning I misused them and for that I was punished by my father. From then on, when he heard something of dubious or ironic understanding, he sought explanations of its meaning before using them.
The triptychs, built on the expanded field aesthetic, present self-portraits of this metaphorical memory of popular expressions in Brazil, now shown with a visual poetics of the maturation of the innocent listener to the mature reader
